This interview with Kim Pentecost outlines and explains the new energy and new consciousness that is beginning to permeate the planet.

WHAT IS THE NEW PARADIGM?
The “new paradigm” is a new level of consciousness, or a shift in consciousness. It started in August of 1987 with the Harmonic Convergence. Then, in December of 1994, the first level occurred with a focus on personal responsibility. This shift in the new paradigm was about taking responsibility for our selves in every aspect of our lives. We, naturally, started with what we had done wrong, how we had hurt others and hurt this planet. The way we did that was to stand in the face of our wounding, truthfully acknowledge our actions, thoughts and intentions, bless them and release them once and for all.

The second phase of the new paradigm occurred in June of 2005. The focus of this second shift is creativity. In simple terms, this means people are being shown that they are also responsible for their reality in a positive way. We are being encouraged to be full creators of our realities and lives with the love and support of Spirit. It is the change in focus from what is wrong to what is right. More people seem to be afraid of this than taking responsibility for what they have done wrong!

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING ON EARTH RIGHT NOW?
The new paradigm is evolving in the Universe and on this planet. Basically, this shift happens in every Universe when the souls are ready and everything is in alignment. This is raising the consciousness in the light. That is why the darkness becoming so apparent to everyone, even those who have been able to ignore it in the past.

HOW DO WE NAVIGATE THROUGH THIS NEW PARADIGM? HOW DOES IT AFFECT OUR LIVES ON A PRACTICAL LEVEL? We are still in the process of recognizing our wounding (both internally and externally), learning the lessons from the wounding, blessing them, healing them and letting go at the core level once and for all. This time around, pain and suffering can be gone for good, when we believe and allow it.

On a practical level, it is moving from a victim consciousness to a creative consciousness, so we are standing in a place of “What do I want to create today?” and then actively creating it with the assistance of Spirit.

One important aspect to pay attention to is our language. For example, negative talk about your life and other people’s lives, i.e. gossip, can really come back to haunt us. It’s the application of Universal Law “like attracts like”. It is the basic “you get back what you put out.” The important thing here is that the Law of Attraction works on all levels in all dimensions. (ex: If you are simply cranky, even not saying negative things, you may get back negative behavior from those around you.) By the same token, when you smile, you get back that same peaceful, loving energy.

HOW CAN THIS NEW PARADIGM AND OUR RELATED GROWTH AFFECT THE WORLD IN A POSITIVE WAY?
We are at a point in history and consciousness where if we apply the creative approach from the second shift, we can change things very quickly. Right now, a lot of people are still entrenched in trauma and fear and they don’t know how to move beyond it. People only rise in consciousness when they are ready. That’s why some people’s lives are easier and some, more difficult. It does take commitment, a sense of humor and practice!

ON A SPIRITUAL LEVEL, WHAT DOES THIS MEAN AND WHAT ARE WE SUPPOSED TO LEARN FROM THIS?
We are here to understand light and the antithesis of light, and choose which we are going to live in. The whole point of why we are seeing so much war and destruction is because the separation of light and dark is getting greater and greater. Our job is to let go of our attachment to darkness and allow it to leave our reality. We are learning – very slowly -- how to take lessons we have learned in one area and apply them to every aspect of our life and so we can stand fully in our light. For example, you may be magical at manifesting good, loyal and honoring friends and not so great at manifesting the resources you need in other areas. Look at how you attract such great friends and apply it to those areas needing help.

IS THIS A NATURAL PROCESS?
Yes, this is an organic process with a framework. You may call it God. Some people call it Spirit, or the Universal Council or Joe Blow. It’s really “us” coming from the concept of one-ness of consciousness in co-creation with all. We looked at our evolution and what we would need to grow in consciousness and grow in light. We, as a species, set that framework in motion. How and when we manifest that in our lives is totally up to us through our free will. So it is both a plan and an organic process.

HOW IS THE NEW PARADIGM AFFECTING HEALING MODALITIES?
People have come to understand the connection of mind/body/spirit/emotions and the importance of healing on all levels or aspects of self. Because of this awareness, doors are opening for us to remember and bring to Earth powerful healing modalities that we have not been able to utilize on this planet until now. On a functional level, the new paradigm allows healing to be faster and easier when and only when the core issues are addressed, victimization is released, and creating your own life is embraced…
