We are such control freaks in this country! I have had writer’s block for two weeks and, of course, have been trashing myself for not being able to turn on the creativity at will. How many Laws of the Universe have I been ignoring?

Let’s see. The first one is that Spiritual Path takes precedence over Earth Path (every time). I am in my birthday growth period* so most of my energy is going to the internal growth. With that, I had definitely lost my sense of humor. There’s another Law forgotten -- something about living in joy and harmony. Then there is the one about Being in Present Time (let’s not go there--) Oh, I’m beginning to bore myself and you too, I suspect.

The point is, last night I was at dinner with a friend and, for the first time in over two weeks, totally off the wall, goofy things started coming out of my mouth (ie: Holy Argyles, Batman!). I wanted to give credit to the Cuba Libra that I was drinking (they didn’t make Mojitos). Then I realized that I was finally on the light side of a huge growth period. The protection around my second chakra creativity was starting to break up and move out. Life was beginning to be funny, again.

The covering was there to turn the creative energy inward to help process all the things that I needed to take care of before this solar shift (birthday). My silliness was an indicator that the challenging (tough) part was almost over. This may not be the best ezine I ever write. It is the most joyful. Using creative energy to heal soul issues is an essential and powerful experience. It is, however, most boring in the third dimensional world. It can look like and feel like low-grade depression and come with a fever. When energy is focused on healing, it cannot also be focused on creativity. You see this in recovery from surgery, having a baby or even, a cold.

I share this with you because I am ecstatic to begin to have my sense of humor back. More importantly, it can be challenging to recognize and understand what type or level of growth you are in while it is happening. It is ultimately invaluable to talk with a professional to understand where you are and what is going on. It is also imperative to be present with the process and to have grace with your self.

We have lived in judgment way too long. It has become second nature to judge ourselves when we are not “on.” Judgment separates us. In this case, from ourselves. Separation causes more pain and lengthens the time needed to process. So, whether it is your birthday growth period or any other growth, be gentle and kind with your self. Ask for help. Celebrate the evolution of your soul, mind, heart and body. And, laugh as much as possible (so as not to bore yourself!).

* Birthday growth period – starts two weeks before one’s birthday and lasts for two weeks afterwards. The two weeks before gives us the opportunity to face all the things we have managed to avoid in the last year, bless them, heal them and release them. The actual birth date is called a still point day and there is no karma (YEA!!!) or issues to be dealt with (double YEA!!!). The two weeks afterward brings in new information, energy, inspiration and focus. (Do I need to count the YEA’s!)
