Greeting the New Year by lying about in a state of diminished capacity (pneumonia) allowed me a lot of time to think and not think. During one of the thinking moments, the process of growth became clear. I saw how our four bodies (Spiritual, Mental, Emotional and Physical) are co-conspirators to bring us to a higher consciousness. I saw their needs and their patterns. And no, it wasn’t a vision brought on by fever and medications! It was a clarity that comes when one has burned out enough energetic garbage to see truth in its simplest form. So please allow me to remind you, in this dynamic time of Universal truths that may help you during some challenging moments, days or weeks.
When you hit that empty space after just completing a huge project or you have been knocked on your derrières by something overwhelming or you find yourself in any sort of void or confusion, stop. Listen to your heart and take only the action that is being offered. If nothing is being offered, do nothing. If you need more information and can be calmly centered, ask Spirit. Then listen, honestly and without resistance. Guidance is available to you. It is always positive and will help you understand and take the next step on your path.
We are in a time of change like we have never experienced before. We push too hard -- for a million reasons that aren't really important. We are impatient and looking for a quick remedy. What is best for you is a part of your inner knowing. Yes, sometimes, we can get an external reflection of our truth. And, at the end of the day, we must make our own decisions and find our own internal rhythm with these changes. When you are in your heart, you hear your truth. When you are in your heart, you align with your whole self, the Light and your path. The answers and the journey get easier and more enjoyable.
When you try to manipulate or go against your core truth, you will sabotage yourself. Ultimately, there is nothing wrong with sabotaging yourself because all paths are paths of enlightenment. Some paths are longer and more challenging. Some are shorter and more fun. It is all choice of experience. If you are choosing a gentler path, be open to change and surprise. Be open to joy and ease. And, be open to greater truths and new possibilities. Sometimes the mind likes to hold on to old patterns because they are known and comfortable. Remember, the same efforts will always get you the same results. So, stand in your heart and embrace new ideas, inspirations and insights.
There are two more things I wish to offer you. The first is an understanding that I have come to living as long as I have. Obviously, I had a pretty bad case of pneumonia. My ability to work was stopped cold turkey for over 3 weeks. For a single entrepreneur, that can be a wee bit daunting. When I got out of my resistance, I of course, realized there is a purpose to being stopped cold. I was getting, what we might call, a reboot. On a soul level, healing is instantaneous. The mental body changes a more slowly. The emotional body, more slowly, yet. And the physical body, which is our stabilizer, can lose its place with all the change and chaos.
So, our physical bodies, that most dense aspect of Self, needs time to blow out the trash, shift energies and come back in alignment. It is not their fault. We have not truly been taking proper care of them so that they can stay grounded and consistently integrate the higher vibrations. We are just learning how to do this. Occasionally, they need to stop and be through the healing and changes. Our lack of attention to the needs of our entire Selves comes mostly through judgment, that “shoulding,” “don’t have time,” and other forms of non-love we lay on ourselves. This stress also comes through overstimulation (sugar, food, lack of sleep, etc) and under-stimulation (not enough exercise, massage, healing care, laughing, fun etc.)
When we are in balance, we never take on more than we can handle. When we’re not, we get overwhelmed, tired and often experience physical pain (a cold, flu, muscle cramp, and even more severe “ailments.”) The “pain” is stretching, the body is signaling that it wants to let go of old perceptions and limitations and move into greater understanding and a higher vibration.
When we honor the process, everything will be better than all right. Something huge is shifting and it is in our best interest to allow it. Let go of the fear, as it serves no purpose other than to slow down the changes and support us in learning more about suffering. Let go of the judgment of being sick or in pain. That also slows down the healing and can sabotage the change your whole Self is trying to make. When we stop, allow and listen, we learn and grow. We understand our selves at a deeper level. We grow in relationship to our selves and others. Pain is the messenger that carries the most precious of gifts.
In summary: Love yourself. Listen to your heart. Trust Spirit. Be kind to you. Laugh. It's all about the learning and, as a wise friend of mine says, “It’s all good.
Love and light from my heart to yours,
