Creation does not take place where there is a scattering and dissipation of energies. Creation requires a gathering together and focusing of your power within a circle of commitment. |

Our lives are so scattered that it is amazing we can and do create anything any thing at all! We often wish that we had something or did something or could change something. And yet, we haven’t taken the time to gather our energies and focus on that which we claim we want. And often, we only make half commitments, half promises to ourselves.
How do we focus? Actually, it is easier than we have thought it to be. It is really about self-love. In Abraham’s teachings, he offers a practice of spending seconds to minutes focusing on what you wish to create. Sitting still for 30 seconds totally focused on one positive thought – how brilliant! Can we do it? Do we do it? What do you think? If you focused on one positive thought for 30 seconds each day, what might happen? If you made a commitment to yourself in love and truth, what kind of success could you experience?
This is the concept behind Hour of Peace and another recent Day of Peace. If one person can create change by gathering energy and being totally present for just a few moments, imagine what thousands or millions could do with that same focus! That’s some big power.
This time of year people are talking about New Year’s resolutions. We don’t have to actually make them. They are already happening. Coming back to the Law of Attraction, what you focus on, you create. Therefore, it is more important to become aware of what you are focusing on consciously and unconsciously. How can you tell? Listen to what you are saying – in your head and out your mouth.
It’s astounding what we say unconsciously. It is even more amazing that we are surprised that we aren’t creating what we are asking for. For instance, recently, in ceremony, someone sincerely committed to receiving an increase in income. Later, I heard him bash his clients! When he was negating his primary source of his income, how could he think he would attract clients who would want to pay him more money? His energy was scattered. He was creating from what was true in his heart – slow paying clients with not much respect for him.
I have thousands of these examples and yes, too many from my own life. A good friend honestly told me that she thought that intention was the key and what she said really didn’t matter! I was stunned. Words are energy. They are magnetic. The adage of “what you say is what you get” is true to the bone and affects every aspect of our lives. Intention is important and it only works when in alignment with the energy that you are sending out into the world.
On the New Year, I offer you this: Think not of resolutions. Think, instead, of what you are already focused on. Is it what you want to be creating? If it is not, change your words and your thoughts to match the truth of your heart. When you are aligned, give yourself the gift of self love and self respect. Gather your full self and focus on just one of those beautiful truths for 30 – 90 seconds a day so that it can become manifest. As you go through your day, speak positively of all things related to your desire. Be prepared. You will receive the magic and it will be bigger than you ever dreamed.
