An adventure is only an inconvenience rightly understood; an inconvenience is only an adventure wrongly considered. |

There have been many moments and days lately that I have gotten out of center. Every time I look at this statement, which is often, I smile. We all have those phrases that we never forget. They help us remember our truths. They help us cope. This is one that does it for me. I know it feels a bit convoluted which is actually a good thing because it makes me stop and breathe and think with my heart.
That’s why I share it with you. It is healing and centering on several levels. We will always have challenges. We will, most likely, get our heads and our heart twisted from time to time. It is important to have tools that get us back on track. Remember the Law of Attraction. I know that you have all heard it a million times before. Please have a sense of humor and walk with me through this one more time – like attracts like. Wouldn’t you rather have your life filled with adventures than with inconveniences?
Wouldn’t it be better at the end of your day to reflect on the learning and accomplishments than the things that went wrong. It is called reframing. We are at the tail end of this huge planetary growth cycle. There are still forces that would like us to stay stuck and in suffering. Focusing on the negative is one form of suffering. Remember that what we embrace now is setting in motion what we will experience over the next lengthy period of time. You can choose what you participate in.
You can stop playing the negative game and play a new game – a game of joy and creativity. It is challenging. There are people who want to focus on the inconveniences. You may be tired today. You may feel overwhelmed. There is a lot of depression going around. OK. You can change that a thought at a time. Again, I remind you that this is not about perfection; it is about conscious choice. Think of it this way. You can train your mind just like you train your body. One does not go to the gym once and have a perfect body (oh, darn!). It takes time and patience. That is why meditation and learning a new skill are called practices.
Practice with me. Take on your days as adventures. Don’t let events and others take your well-being, your sense of satisfaction or your humor. Set a new standard for life. Have some fun today.
